- Illinois Everbearing Mulberry a broadleaf deciduous tree with green foliage and green flowers in spring followed by black and purple fruit.
- Matures to be 35' tall. Ripens in mid June through August.
- Each large berry has a firm texture, with soft juicy flesh on the inside. They stand out in the landscape with a shade of bright red before ripening to a shade of purple to black.
- Grows best in well-drained, rich, average, gritty and clay soil. To grow well, it prefers sun - bright shade and regular - low water.
- Hardy to -30F and also drought resistant, one of the most hardy mulberries.
Details: It produces fruits over a period of several weeks in mid-summer. This mulberry variety is even more beautiful in the spring when it erupts with hundreds of small yellowish-green cylindrical flowers.
